As your journey through the great Roman and Islamic cities, the European beauty of Casablanca with its fusion of architechture and decor, the remote kasbahs and ksour, we travel through Morocco’s 6,000 years of archaeology, art and architecture and its 11 UNESCO World Heritage Sites. including the Medina at Fes, exotic Marakech, Jaama el Fna, Ksar Ait Ben Haddou, The Historic  City of  Meknes.

Travel

Day 1 Arrive in Casablanca
Transfer from Mohamed V airport to hotel. Welcome cocktails and dinner

Day 2 Casablanca – Rabat
After breakfast at the hotel explore the beautiful city of Casablanca which visibly demonstrates its heritage along the wide palm planted boulevards and winding Medina alleyways. The rich cultural past is reflected everywhere within this vibrant modern city. Late afternoon continue to Rabat, the capital of Morocco.

Day 3 Rabat – Tangier
After breakfast we explore many historic monuments of the Moroccan capital city and the beautiful Kasbah of  Oudaya overlooking the Atlantic and the Bouragrag River. We wander through the Phoenician city of Sale and return to the National Moroccan Museum for a curated tour of the museum. In late afternoon we travel north to Tangier with its unique setting on the Mediterranean Sea at the Straits of Gibraltar After an evening wander through the Medina we have dinner in a local restaurant and overnight.

Day 4 Tangier – Chefchouen
After breakfast we visit the amazing Caves of Hercules and spend time enjoying the unique atmosphere in this special place. The Caves of Hercules is an archaeological cave complex located in Cape  Spartel,Morocco

We return to Tangier for a visit to the American Legation. The old American Legation, the only US National Historic Landmark located in a foreign country, is now home to the Tangier American Legation Institute for Moroccan Studies (TALIM). A vibrant center of activity in Tangier’s old Medina, the Legation houses a museum, research library, and cultural center.
In the bustling medina we pass Grand Sacco and Petite Sacco with many boutique hotels and  Riads, once home to intellectuals and artists including Matisse, Saint  Saens, Paul Bowles and William Burroughs In the late afternoon we continue our journey to Chefchouen.

Day 5 Chefchouen
Visit the spectacular Akchour waterfalls to enjoy nature at her best. Special areas of the nature reserve are the Waterfalls and God’s Bridge. Enjoy a picnic lunch with nature as our host. In the evening Absorb  the lovely ambience of this city in the old medina and the fortress of the Kasbah and its gardens. Explore the arts and handicrafts of the Rif Mountains.

Day 6 Chefchouen – Volubilis – Meknes
Explore the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Volubilis best preserved Roman ruins in  North Africa. Continue to Meknes to Bab Mansour Gate built by Sultan Moulay Ismail in the 18 th century. Visit the Mausoleum, the Royal Palace and the HerrSouani, stable and granary for 12,000 horses. Continue to Roslane Vineyards for winetasting and dinner.

Day 7 Meknes – Fes
Tour the beautiful vineyards  continue to the medieval city of Fes. Explore the medina of Fez Special cultural dinner and entertainment.

Day 8 Fes
Explore the world’s largest medina, the artisans’ quarters, the tannery, as well as oldest library in the world. Continue to the 9 the century  al Karaouine University. One final stop at a local madrasa before returning to the main medina for exploration.

Day 9 Fes- Ziz valley – Erfoud
Crossing Middle Atlas Mountains to Midelt  Continue through the beautiful Ziz valley Reach Erfoud for dinner.

Day 10 Erfoud-Rissani-Merzouga- Erg Chebbi
Luxury desert camp Spectacular sunsets, sparkling star studded nights, local musicians, dancers and the unique camel ride through the magnificent Sahara.

Day 11 Erg Chebbi Todra Gorges Ouazarzate
Road of a thousand Kasbahs Enjoy a picnic lunch at the spectacular waterfall. Enjoy Ouazarzate’s film museum exhibiting memorabilia from the many exciting movies made in this area including several Indiana Jones films. Explore the Kasbah.  photographer’s dream

Day 12 Ouazarzate – Marrakech
Ait ben Haddou Kasbah UNESCO World Heritage Site. Featured in the popular series Game of Thrones. Journey through the High Atlas Mountains. Following a long ride to Marrakech relax and enjoy a local hammam (spa) for a memorable experience.

Day 13 Marrakech
Visit Majorelle Gardens and the Musee de Yves St Laurent Join local musicians. dancers, snake charmers in Jmaa del Fna. Wander through the souq filled with artisans and craftsmen, bargain your best for the many incredible works of art.

Day 14 Marrakech – Casablanca
Visit Ville des Artes and several local art galleries. Tour the Jewish Museum. Return to the Medina for last minute shop
